What Kind of Adventure Do You Crave?

I Crave a Cultural Adventure

Life has gotten a bit routine for me lately, and I'd like to broaden my perspective.

I want to learn and grow from my adventure. I want to know the place I visit as well as my home town.

I am an open minded and curious traveler. I'm all about immersing myself in local customs, no matter how foreign they are.

Whenever I'm in a new place, I try to speak the language, eat the food, and meet the locals. After all, that's what traveling is all about!

What is Your Word?

My Word is "Peace"

I see life as precious, and I wish everyone was safe, happy, and taken care of.

Social justice, human rights, and peace for all nations are all important to me.

While I can't stop war, I try to be as calm and compassionate as possible in my everyday life.

I promote harmony and cooperation. I am always willing to meet someone a little more than halfway.

Weekend Snapshot: Weekend at Home

On Saturday afternoon, I saw an iguana lurking on our garden near the pool.

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and the ducks were enjoying the sun and the water on the lake (man-made) behind our house.

Skywatch Friday: Here Comes the Sun

I took these shots inside a plane on our flight from Newark, NJ to Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
It is awesome watching the sun rise over the horizon.

My Least Favorite Subject

Disliking Math Says You Are Expressive

You are an expressive, passionate, and spontaneous person.

For you, math is way too cold a subject. You dislike how black and white it is.

While some people have extreme passion for math, that would take far more work than you're willing to put in.

What you're into changes like the wind, and you could never be forced to choose one thing. You have to be free to follow what you love.

The Woman is in a Hiatus

It's been quite some time since I posted in my blog. I've been busy with our recent move to our new home in Coconut Creek (unpacking, putting the house in order), busy with my driving lessons, I travelled to New Jersey, and the Fall semester has started. Tomorrow, I am also undergoing eye surgery to remove the cataract in my left eye. After which, the doctor will schedule me for another eye appointment to have the implanted lens on my right eye "cleaned." Between school and my other activities, I do not have much time to sit down and tinker with my blogs, although I have been keeping Woman On A JouRney pretty much updated.

After I'm done putting the house in order- we've practically unpacked all our stuff and finished about 75% of the arrangement, decoration- I will have more time to juggle between blogging, school, housework and other activities.
